PROFILE PICTURE - most people use fanart of their fav book character or an aesthetic picture from pinterest
HEADER - a picture that matches the color scheme of your profile picture
BIO - you should include your age and preferred pronouns. most people also include the book they're currently reading
PINNED TWEET - usually (but not always), this is a tweet that says "threads" with 2 aesthetic pictures that match the color scheme of your profile picture and header

GETTING FOLLOWERS
There are 2 main ways you can go about getting followers:
METHOD 1: BOOKTWT INTRO TWEET - let people know you're new to book twitter and they'll come to you! here is a template you can use:
"Hi, I'm new to #booktwt #booktwitter and I need mutuals! Interact with this tweet if you like:
-[list your favorite books and series]"
then, just follow anyone that likes, replies, or retweets your tweet!
METHOD 2: #BOOKTWT #BOOKTWITTER: - if you search these hashtags on twitter and interact with other intro tweets, people will follow you and all you need to do is follow them back! usually, they'll follow you back if you just follow them first, as well
